Water pump short circuit
What is E9?
The internal water pump has experienced a short circuit, meaning electrical current is flowing through an unintended path.
Why does this happen?
A short circuit in the pump can be caused by water leaking onto the pump motor, damaged internal wiring, or a defective pump unit. Power surges can also damage the pump's electrical components.
What should I do?
Stop using the machine immediately and disconnect from power. If you can see water leaking, also close the water isolation valve supplying it and follow our leak steps. Do not attempt to open or repair the device. A short circuit requires professional attention. Contact our support team to arrange a pump replacement.
Repairs are free while your Pluvia has its 12-month warranty or an active Smart Service, unless the fault was caused by something the cover excludes, such as accidental damage or misuse. In that case we'll give you the price before we start. Without an active Smart Service, our engineer call-out charge is £80. None of this affects your legal rights.
